Two weekends ago we went up to Star Valley, Wyoming for my Grandpa's funeral. He died at the age of 86, a good long life. It is a bitter/sweet thing to see him go. His wife died of breast cancer about 50yrs ago, I am sure he is having a very sweet reunion with her. I also like to think of my sister, Dixie, having a sweet union with him as well. It is such a different feeling when an older person dies of old age than when a young person dies because of a rear situation or accident. But both hurt to lose that person you love. It is so wonderful to have the gospel that teaches that we will be able to see our loved ones who have died again.
Fred had a good time with his grandparents, of course I forgot to pull the camera out to take pictures. The important part is that he got to see them and his Aunt Nae Noo. It was soo good to see my family as usual. I miss them a lot.
Fred continues to grow and amaze me. He is becoming such a little observer. He watches everything we do. He is grabbing for our phones, his bottle (which he can now hold by himself), paper, food, drinks, pretty much everything that we are holding. He also pushed the button on his exersaucer to play music. He is sitting straighter on his own for longer periods of time, is pivoting on his tummy, and scooting backwards and forwards. I can also put him in crawling position for about 2seconds (which was very EXCITING to me!!!) He still refuses to roll :( He loves food but still has a hard time digesting it. We get a blow out diaper every time we give him green beans, peas, or any other kind of food besides cereal. We still enjoy playing with food options.
Here is a video of my Uncle Bob simply saying hello to Fred, and Fred laughing out of the blue.
