Summer Fun

I thought I was doing better at blogging, but I guess not. Freddy is growing so fast it is hard to keep up. I don't know how I have been blessed with such an easy going boy, I don't always feel like I am the kind of mother he deserves. He said the cutest thing today, and for the life of me I can't remember what it was. I had a feeling I needed to record it right after he said it, but I didn't. A good lesson on following the Spirit I suppose. As I have gone through the pictures I have taken, I have realized that I am an AWFUL photographer, or all the people I take pictures of are impossible to photograph. Anyways, here are some things we have done in the last month.

We went to the Dinosaur National Monument, which is a fossil quarry. It was very cool to see the dinosaurs in the ground. Freddy had a blast looking at the bones.

One nice thing living in Vernal, is that the community puts on some great events that are mostly free. We went to the county fair that had a Red Barn, where the kids were able to pretend to be farmers. Freddy went crazy over the tractor. I think he was a little disappointed not to be able to drive a real tractor. Next time we are in SL we will have to stop by Wheeler Farm.

This was the first thing we saw at the fair. Freddy LOVES firetrucks. I swear I have posted other things we have done, which included holding the fire hose before, but can't seem to find it now. But he had done this earlier in the year. He didn't let go of his fireman hat all night.
"Oh my!! This is a close race!"

This is a picture from a different night, but we enjoyed watching the demoliation derby too.
"Watch daddy, watch. Fast race cars."
(wish I would have gotten his whole body, he does some cool stuff with his feet while dancing)
There were two parades in Vernal this year. The one for the 4th was ok, it was mainly water trucks and other oil field trucks. The 24th of July was better. Freddy enjoyed watching all the tractors.
