For Mother's Day this year Devan bought us both fishing licenses and fishing poles. Having moved to what feels like the middle of no where, fishing was the one activity we felt we could do with our family. There are five reserviors, the farthest one being onlya hour away, just north of where we live. We have really enjoyed the great out doors this year. Our first trip to Flaming Gorge was a very successful trip. I caught more fish then I brought home, and Devan caught his first fish in a long time. We both had a blast. Freddy is learning to enjoy fishing. He prefers to play with the warms and throw rocks and sticks. He is very good sport for letting us spend hours fishing and him just wandering around. It has taken us awhile to learn how to fish. I grew up fishing with my family, but haven't gone much as an adult. And Devan remembers only going a couple of times as a scout. I am one lucky wife because I have not had to learn how to clean fish yet. After bringing home 6 fish, Dev jumped on the internet and learned how to clean fish from youtube. Thank you youtube!! He does a great job. Unfortunately for him, I am still figuring out how to fillet them so we don't get bites full of bone. Devan is hoping to learn how to fish for catfish before everything starts freezing.

We haven't been fishing in forever! We should plan a time when both our families could go, that'd be fun!
