A month latter and 9mos old

Hi blog friends and family. It has been a long time since I have blogged. And a lot has happened. Lets start with the exciting news, Freddy!! He is now 9mos which is absolutely crazy to me. I have a nine month baby. He is into everything these days. The last couple of weeks he has been sick with a cough and diarrhea. It has been so sad to hear him cough up a lung, afterwards he would look at us to smile or laugh. He is almost always in good spirits (except for diaper changes and getting dressed). His newest skill he has learned is to stand on his own. All day today he has been letting go of things to stand by himself with a huge smile and giggle. His sweet smile still melts my heart. As we ate breakfast this morning I was sharing my super duper. And as I was giving him more, I would sign and say "more". The next thing I realized was that Freddy was singing "more" with me. This reminds me that he can clap too, and he actually makes noise doing it. I really enjoy watching him grow each and every day.
Freddy's 9month stats:
weight: 19lbs 6oz
height: 28inches
We will need to put him in a bigger car seat very soon.

On to an update with Devan and I. At the end of September we made a trip to Oregon as a family to watch my mother participate in her FIRST triathlon. It was the most amazing thing I have seen. I will blog about it separately. While in Oregon a good family friend, Shauna, told us that the sanitary company her husband, Israel, works for had been talking about firing their man who does the recycling route. Devan jumped on the opportunity to turn in his resume while we were in town. We didn't talk too much about since neither of us (especially me) wanted to get our hopes up too high. While in Oregon we left Fred with my mother for his night without us so we could celebrate our second anniversary at the coast. It was so wonderful to spend some uninterrupted time with my husband, knowing that Fred was in good hands. We also got to laugh, cry, play with my whole family. I feel bad we didn't get a chance to see the Hazelton's. Hopefully next time we will.
Coming back to reality in Utah was difficult for both of us.

The month of October has been pretty uneventful. I continued to babysit and clean the gym at night. Devan continued working and going to school and watching football. On 20 Oct Devan came home with some news we were not expecting at all. He had been laied off from his full time job along with 20 of his other co-workers. If anyone tells me the economy is recovering I might just hit the. We had finally got our selves in a position where November was looking to be a fabulous month financially. We are now wondering how we are going pay bills, buy food, get the medicine Dev needs, and how to pay rent.

As I was cleaning the gym last night a thought came to me. We have forgotten to keep Heavenly Father in our lives. After struggling financially for so long now, we are taking this opportunity to put take a step back and really focus on the things that are important. God, providing for our family, and family.

Back to Devan putting his resume in at the sanitary company in Oregon. We have gotten a couple of calls from Shauna and Israel. The first was to tell us that Israel's boss asked him how soon Devan could start working. The second call they told us that the boss has been meaning to cal but has been supper busy. We are both praying extremely hard that every day will the day Devan gets a job offer from this place in Oregon. So to give everyone a heads up, we may be moving to Oregon in the next month, (if not weeks!!!). Devan has not told his family the job is in Oregon that he is hoping to get, so if you can refrain from spreading the news quite yet that would be appreciated.

I plan on blogging more since I have am depending on this for our family journal. So keep checking it out and we would love to hear from you.
