Good Times

It has been so much fun being a mother this week. Fred has made me laugh multiple times each day this week. He is becoming such an observant, funny little guy. He has the cutest expressions which are impossible to capture on camera, the funnest sounds, and does adorable things that make my heart melt each time I experience them. He has decided that crawling just isn't enough for him. He insists on climbing on everything he can possible reach, including the walls. And pulling to kneeling isn't enough for him either, he must strive to stand while holding on to things. I thought he would be content crawling for awhile, but no. The poor boy has had several things fall on top of him because they weren't sturdy enough to hold him. Tonight he was climbing on to his car seat to reach the monkeys that are on his straps. As he stood there he sang us the most beautiful song. And then the car seat fell on to his lap and he continued to sing for a few minutes before crying. He cracks me up!! We went swimming with some friends today, and he just sang and babbled almost the whole time. He will also sing in the car.
We went out to lunch today, and an elderly lady came up to us as she was leaving and said, "We haven't seen your son's face, but we had so much fun watching the little movements of his body and think he is adorable." It was the sweetest comment. I am glad he brings joy to people around him just by who he is. (I know that sounds tacky but hopefully you get my point:))
We have been rearranging our itty-bitty apartment because we are unable to move; I am going stir crazy. The kids now have the "master" bedroom, which can fit the twin bed AND crib, two dressers, and toys very nicely. Plus we have more storage now!! And we have the smaller room with the cable. I never wanted a tv in my room, but Devan did and won. We will see how it goes.
While putting up the crib, Fred was awake and desperately wanted to help. Here are some pictures of him helping and an adorable short video of him climbing.

"So Stinking Cute!!"

I must admit, Devan was not that excited to put the crib up when I wanted to. He is such a great husband though, because he still put it up! It is not the easiest crib to set up, this was our second time I believe putting it together. I thought he did a GREAT job.

After it was put together, Devan threw Fred in it so he could check it out. Fred thought it was pretty cool, especially when dad was on the other side making crazy faces. I also have to admit that Devan, nor I, can move Fred to the other room to sleep in his crib. We still enjoy hearing the noise Fred makes as he falls asleep and wakes up. Any one have suggestions on how you move your only baby into his own room ALL by himself?
