The 4th of July

This past weekend has been so much fun. I was a little worried earlier last week about not having family around to be with during the 4th, but we survived and had a fabulous time! Audrey came over on Thursday to start our weekend with her. Devan surprised me by getting a babysitter for both kids, and taking me to see Eclipse. Oh my goodness, what a wonderful, fun movie! It was nice to go on a date with my husband. On Friday I took the kids over to our friends' house to watch Mo while Jo had to have surgery to remove his adenoids. We had fun baking a cake, jumping on the trump, watching Charlott's Web and playing. Jo did really well after the surgery and was able to come home Friday night.

Devan didn't have to work at Maverick at all the whole weekend, which made things even more fun! We were able to go to the Murray City parade Saturday morning. It was fun to see the bands, floats and to get TONS of candy. Audrey had a blast dancing as the bands went by and grabbing all the candy she could get her hands on, as well as eat it. I am surprised she didn't end up with stomach ache.

After the parade we went to our friend's house and hung out for several hours. Devan played the Wii tennis game as if he was really playing.(Two days later he complained of his shoulder being stiff and soar, surprise surprise :)) We all came home and took a nap that we all needed, made granola bars, and then our fabulous friends took us out to dinner at the Olive Gardner. Oh my goodness, it was soo good. Then we continued on to the park to watch the fireworks which were fabulous. Fred did sooo well the whole day. During the fireworks we had to hold him close for him to be able t enjoy them. The noise scared him.

The Andrew's Family

First time tasting water!

On Sunday we had yummy red, white, and blue pancakes with fresh fruit. It is fun having kids during the holidays. Church was wonderful and very patriotic. After wards we had a rushed dinner and then met our friends at the park to hang out for the evening. The whole weekend was so relaxing and fun. It was the first time I actually felt like a mother of two. Audrey was so wonderful. She laughed and danced and played the whole weekend. And it was so much fun watching Fred watch her. He really adores her. On Monday we still had Audrey, so we took the morning easy. At noon we got to the Gateway Mall to play in the fountains, which Audrey LOVED. She squealed and flapped her hands like crazy. And then we saw "How to Slay Your Dragon" at the dollar theater which was a very cute movie. After Audrey's mom picked her up, she called Devan in tears. I feel bad she misses us, but glad she had a such a fun time that she did miss us.

Hope everyone had a great weekend!!!
