Welcome to our family blog! It is our first time blogging, which means we are pretty inexperienced in it. I had a friend that convinced me that it is a lot of fun and that I should try it...so here we go. I am excited to share with family and friends the goings and happenings with our family. It will be a place where you can read a lot about all the wonderful new things Freddy will be doing, for we are both very proud parents. We will also be showing off Audrey, for she is adorable as well.
I never thought being a mother could bring such joy and happiness. I now understand why parents only talk about their children and grandparents talk about their grand babies. Children are the most wonderful thing on the earth.
A little about Fred...ever since he was about 9wks old he has slept through the night. I still remember the first night he slept for 7hrs!! I woke up in a panic asking Devan where Fred is and if he had fed him since Fred had been laid down for bed. Devan said "No." So I jumped out of bed and instantly woke Fred up. He was perfectly content to eat 4oz for me and then went back to sleep. He now sleeps for 10-11hrs without waking up. I still worry at times, but am comforted knowing that he is awake for most of the day with a few cat naps. He is smiling, batting at toys, kicking he legs and growing beautifully. We even got a giggle out of him this last weekend!!! We also believe he is getting his tooth in. It is going to look funny if we are right, because it is his top front one.
Audrey is Devan's 4yr old daughter, for those who do not know. She spends every other weekend with us, and Devan visits her every week in American Fork. She is in full day preschool/daycare and loves it. She enjoys coloring, playing with her babies, and going to the zoo. She also loves her baby brother but has shown some jealousy. We are all learning how to be a happy family.
Devan is working at a foundry in West Jordan, and is loving it. He really enjoys the people he gets to work with. He is a delivery driver. He is also in the community college's Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) program. He will be finished in 2yrs, as he is going to night school. He is seriously searching for a second job so that I can continue to stay home with our son. He is my hero!
I am now a stay-at-home mother and wife. Something I have wanted my entire life. Devan and I are gaining faith as we some how are able to pay our bills every month, as well as unexpected car repairs. It has been a true blessing for me to be able to stay home. I am babysitting a 2month old, which is a blessing in of itself. It is how we are paying for rent. It is a job I wasn't even looking for, it literally fell in my lap the week I told my job I wasn't coming back. Heavenly Father has truly blessed our family as we have hearkened to the Spirit's direction.
I realize this has been a long introduction, I am just so excited to share the wonderful blessings we have in our life. I want to add a misdemeanor...(or whatever you want to call it)...my husband can be very political and would like to express his thoughts and views on our blog. We do not mean to offend anyone, or to push anything on any one...the posts are only meant to share what we (he) believe. So please don't ever get offended by what is posted...if you would like, please add your thoughts and comments.
Now we off for some FUN!!!!!
